From Kyoto Station, take city bus route 206 to the Gion stop, then walk for five minutes. Head east down Shijo-dori, then turn right onto Hanami-koji Street and then left onto Aoyagi-koji Street. You will find us on the left. Use Google Maps for more detailed directions.

Yes, we can accommodate private parties for six to eight people.
Yes, we have a fully private room on the second floor for parties of four to eight. To access it, remove your shoes by the entrance and go up the stairs. Note that we charge a room fee of ¥20,000 (tax excluded) for use of the private dining room.
Ryō-shō is a non-smoking restaurant. We do not have a smoking section.
With advance notice, we can prepare meals without raw ingredients or meat. However, given the centrality of dashi (fish-based soup stock) and certain flavorings to Japanese cuisine, we unfortunately cannot accommodate halal, vegan, fish-free, or wheat-free diets.
In addition to wine and sake, we serve beer, whiskey, shochu, and brandy.
Yes. However, diners must be at least 13 years old to eat at the counter. If you are accompanied by children under 13 years of age, you may only dine in a private room.
We recommend smart casual attire. Please refrain from wearing casual clothing or excessive fragrances.
